“Somalia Bersaglio Innocente” exhibition

D-sign contributes to realize the “Somalia Bersaglio Innocente” exhibition, organized by Medici Senza Frontiere association, taking care of graphics and communication.

Since 1991, Somalia is a forgotten country, a land of no one and everyone, with hundreds of clan conflicts. The photos of Alessandro Vincenzi show a split of MSF activities in this country.

An ergonomic study on icons

A study by Filiberto Strazzari in collaboration with Dr. Passini and Prof. Borghi from University of Bologna’s Department of Psychology will be published on Displays (ed. Elsevier), a british scientific magazine specialized in hergonomics of visual computer interfaces.

The paper Icon-Function Relationship in Toolbar Icons has been accepted by the magazine scientific referees and will be soon published. By now the abstract is available on Science Direct website and the full pre-press uncorrected proof is available on Prof. Borghi’s website.

The study measures the efficiency of several icon types and their capability of representing the action they perform, the authors also provide guidelines for toolbar design based on the results of the study.

Bologna City Council’s portal dedicated to comics and illustrations, www.flashfumetto.it , has been presented at the Future Film Festival.

In 2006 D-sign has realized for Settore Politiche Giovanili (Youth Politics Sector) the portal that, in less then one year, has become a successful website and a reference for both young and professional comics drawers and illustators.
